Actually,

I think things work better with us when I'm clear about what I can and can't do.

Maybe I'll offer to take her into SF with me tomorrow -- I have a meeting.

And maybe I'll stay home on Friday and we can break down boxes or weed the garden.

I'm feeling more charitable because I complained to a co-worker and she confessed that she does to her mother what my mother does to me. And I think, in fact, that my mother does the same thing to my grandmother.
